Montage

• The assembly of the pavilion can be done by two people.

• For the installation of the slats and cross braces, we recommend enlisting the help of two additional people.

• Required tools/equipment: A cordless drill and two ladders are required.

• Screws and additional mounting hardware are included.

• Pre-drilled holes and precision rails simplify the installation process.

Wall mounting

• When installing 20cm of insulation on the outside of a wall, it is important to, to know the wall thickness.

• The recommended anchor plug size is 30-35 cm (20 cm insulation + 10-15 cm concrete), so accurate measurement is required.

• Use a precise hammer drill bit for anchor bolts to drill an accurate hole and ensure the anchor sits correctly.

• A hammer drill is recommended for hard concrete, preferably one with an SDS-plus chuck for SDS-plus drill bits.

• For drill presses with quick-release chucks, concrete drills with round shanks can be used.

• To process expansion anchors, drill a hole with the appropriate diameter, insert the anchor through the attachment into the hole, and hammer in the screws.

Recommendations and Maintenance

• It is recommended to clean the pergola regularly with water, dish soap, and a soft cloth. A cleaning hook with a brush is included to remove leaves and debris from the water drainage holes.

Care for squeaking

• In most cases, it is not necessary to lubricate the moving parts of the pergola, but in case of squeaking, it is recommended to use silicone spray.

Winter care

• If the temperature drops below 0°C, it is recommended to use the pergola less frequently to extend its lifespan.

• In winter, the louvers must be set in a vertical (open) position. If the roof is closed during snowfall and not regularly checked, there is a risk that the louvers may deform and the roof could become leaky.

Integrated water drainage system

• We recommend installing the product horizontally. Since the drain is located in all four legs, it will still function properly even if the installation is not perfectly level. We recommend installing a drainage channel in the flooring. However, depending on the surrounding vegetation, the drain and channels must be kept free of leaves.

Frequently Asked Questions

How is the adjustment of the lamellae done?

The high-quality aluminum slats can be conveniently and continuously adjusted. By turning a crank, you can synchronously change the tilt angle of the slats to individually adjust the light incidence. When the slats are fully closed, the pergola offers protection from sun and light rain.

2. How is the pergola assembled?

The assembly can be carried out by 2 people. For the installation of the slats and cross braces, it is recommended to involve two additional people. The required tools are a cordless screwdriver and two ladders; the necessary materials are included in the scope of delivery. Precise pre-drilled holes and perfectly fitting rails make assembly easier.

3. What needs to be considered when installing 20cm insulation on the outside of a wall?

It is important to know the wall thickness. The recommended anchor bolt size is 30-35 cm (20 cm insulation plus 10-15 cm concrete).,
Therefore, precise measurement is required.

4. What foundation is recommended?

A concrete ground foundation is recommended for a stable foundation, which should have a minimum surface area of 22x22 cm.

5. What are the advantages of the new louvers?

The new louvers now only require 2 screws per end cap for mounting and feature improved water drainage due to an optimized rounding.

6. Is the pergola also suitable for heavy rain?

Tested up to 17L/m2 per hour. Our pergolas are ideal for light rain and offer good protection in these situations. However, in heavy rain, there is a possibility that the posts may absorb too much water and water may run over the top of the pergola roof.

7. What is the snow load capacity of the pergola?

The pergola was tested for a snow load of 80 kg per square meter.
In case of snowfall, please open the louvers to prevent bending or damage.

8. What should be considered with the pergola in strong winds?

In strong winds, the louvers should be opened. The pergola has been tested up to wind force 9 on the Beaufort scale, which corresponds to wind speeds of up to 100 km/h (strong gale).
