The BonBiza XL: Baking is Fun

The extra-large baking sheet on the BonBiza is a great feature for several reasons. First of all, you can now spread out many more foods on the fire plate and prepare even more ingredients at the same time. You can also prepare a snack for more people at once. Do you have an event for 100 people? You can provide several people with a snack at the same time. Finally, you can organize the fire plate even better into different heat zones.

The benefits of a plancha

A plancha griddle is a thick steel plate used for cooking over a wood fire. The plate gets very hot and is used for various ingredients. The advantage of the plancha plate:

✓ Retains meat and vegetable juices: juicy meat is less likely to lose moisture
✓ Prepare small ingredients: Due to the density, smaller ingredients such as potatoes, onion rings, or mussels can also be grilled on the baking sheet.
✓ Different grilling zones: Similar to direct and indirect grilling, the temperature on the plancha can vary. This allows you to easily sauté at a higher temperature while simultaneously cooking at a lower temperature.

Using the plancha for the first time

The BonBiza XL plancha comes with a sticky layer of oil to prevent rust on the griddle during storage. So, the first use of the plancha involves a few steps.

1. Heat the entire plancha with a wood fire.
Scrape the oil layer off the plancha with a suitable grill spatula.
3. Apply a new layer of oil and rub it off with a soft cloth or paper towel to create a good non-stick coating. Repeat the process several times.

Accessories for the BonBiza XL

Like the classic BonBiza grill, the BonBiza XL can also be expanded with various accessories. For example, a stand for the BonBiza is the start of a culinary adventure with many possibilities. Place an additional grill grate, a pizza oven, or rotisserie skewers on the stand. But a complete rotisserie set can also expand the BonBiza XL into an even more complete grill.
